Re: Work won't allow my mini fridge??
I just wanted to say that all of you mamas are total rock stars!!
I am always so impressed with mamas who make that amazing commitment to pump. Way to go! I wish you got more support in the work place but there are more of you all of the time. Hopefully things will change soon.

Re: Work won't allow my mini fridge??
That stinks that the fridge is an issue now after 8 monhts.
However, I am little confused as to why you need the fridge. the ice pack that came with my pump keeps everything cold till I get home and get it put away and all I do is wipe out my pump parts between pumping sessions and then wash at night.

A mini fridge costs a lot to run. I imagine, legally they would need to allow the opportunity for each person to have their very own. A cooler will be just fine for daily use.

It's strange how workplaces are different. At my last job, they issued BFing mothers a mini fridge for their office or desk because they didn't want potentially bio hazardous bodily fluids stored in the regular fridge. Of course, they creatively find ways to fire pregnant mothers (like me) to avoid paying them for time off. As soon as I announced my pregnancy, it felt like I had a shadow looking for each and every tiny mistake I ever made. I was relieved when they actually fired me because it was so incredibly stressful. I was warned by the ONE BFing mom there about this. None of my coworkers were surprised, either.
