Re: Baby play etiquette

I'm dealing with this right now. We are living with DS's cousin who is 6 months old. He is just now getting interested in her and always tries to touch her face, put his fingers in her mouth, and take her toys. I usually try to redirect him but if I am right there and he is being gentle he loses interest a lot faster if let him check her out.

I agree. I let them play as long as both babies are happy/interested and nobody is about to get actually hurt.

Re: Baby play etiquette

I think people need to keep their kids from being all over your kids. So many parents get lax about this after they have multiple kids but as a first time mom I really don't appreciate when you let your 2 year old sneeze on my three month olds face and then laugh about it!! Yes he got sick from it.

Re: Baby play etiquette

I attend regular playgroups, we're all friends, and babies are allowed to touch eachother if they're not bothered by it.
