Anyone ever gain a lot in the 1st trimester and it slowed in the 2nd trimester?
I'm 14 weeks tomorrow. I've gained about 10lbs.
I haven't ever gain this much during the 1st tri except probably with my DD. I never watched my weight with her though (I was young haha) but I'm praying it slows. I really don't want to gain a ton! So has anyone ever gained more then average during the 1st tri and less during the 2nd tri?

I gained a lot more in this pregnancy so far than I did with dd at this point (16 pounds at 23 weeks) but I also feel great. I think the focus should be on eating well, exercising and taking care of your body instead of the number on the scale.

Very true. I do exercise. It helps my energy
I'm trying not to stress about it. But am I hopeful that it slows down a bit

I have gained way too much and not sure why. I have been sick so not eating much, but have managed to gain 8lbs. anyway. I am hoping it is water retention, lol. I hope someone else answers your question with slower weight gain in second tri, lol.

Yes. I have always gained quickly and then slowed down.

id say the bulk of my gains were in the second trimester.

Re: Anyone ever gain a lot in the 1st trimester and it slowed in the 2nd trimester?
I gained more in the first trimester which was odd because I had horrible MS, I think it was because I stopped exercising. Too much of any motion made me loose my cookies! My weight gain leveled out around 20 weeks and has not changed much since. We will see what happens in the 3rd trimester!
