The nub theory works from 10-14 weeks. After that the genitals are very different and usually able to tell.

My early u/s at 12 weeks the dr told us 99% sure it was a girl- and she definitely is!

Just wanted to let you guys know, that this "skull theory" is true for me. Baby is a boy.
