Cd retailers, a few questions
Years ago, I had a site called Bum Huggers where I took custom orders for crocheted wool soakers, shorts, and longies. I enjoyed creating them, but between hand dying the yarn, crocheting, and then making up my own patterns for appliques it took a lot of time and was not very profittable.
My heart's desire was to run a cd retail site, but since I homeschool I just didn't think I had the time. I have been back on DS for a few weeks with my recent pregnancy and now miscarriage, and my desire to do this has surged. Things are a bit different now. My kids are older, so they could help. I have funds to invest. And, I could even set up a store once per month at a huge flea market a few towns away. We will be TTC once I am able, so a baby would be added to the mix hopefully. My questions: Do you actually make a worth while profit? How much time do you put into your business on a daily basis? Are their any existing sites available for sale? |

Re: Cd retailers, a few questions
1) if the volume is there, you certainly can.
2) Between myself and my business parter, 60 hours a week easily. Plus we both work full time. We easily worked each 14+ if not more hours pre day for the last week due to black friday. 3) check out diaper decisions website. ETA: Start up costs are at least $10k, but $20k + is ideal. PM me if you would like. Good luck!

Re: Cd retailers, a few questions
I just started a cloth business, First Coast Fluff, selling tender tushies brand diapers. It's a ton of work! It can be profitable but right now I'm just looking for tips to get going. The market is there but getting the word out is hard. I've done Facebook and have my own webpage even. There are a lot of costs in the beginning.

Re: Cd retailers, a few questions
I have been in business about 8 years now as a CD retailer. My kids are now well out of diapers and I'm looking to sell my business. Starting a business from scratch is hard as you generally don't begin making a profit for at least 2-3 years.
If you are interested, send me a message and we can talk more. My site is SimpleWondersDiapers (dot) com Sultana |
