Moving to IL!

My husband just accepted a job in Joliet, IL!

We are SOOOO excited to be moving out of Arizona and there is so much to do! We are currently searching for rental homes! Is there anyone on here from or live in that area who can give me advice on where to look/avoid in terms of neighborhoods?

Have you moved yet? I would avoid Joliet completely to be honest. I grew up in Minooka and Channahon. They are both great towns and a very easy drive to Joliet!

I'm nearby also and personally wouldn't totally rule out Joliet. There are some good areas. You just need a knowledgeable realtor if you go that route. Lockport or New Lenox would also be really short commutes into Joliet. Welcome (soon) to the area!!!

Actually we are moving in today! We found a realtor that was helpful I finding us a nice rental. We will be living in the Cathedral Area of Joliet! I hope I can find some cloth diaper mama friends in the region!
