Re: 35 weekers NICU time??
We have a girl so maybe not so wimpy, but born at 28 weeks (with the 2 doses of steroid shots) she stayed 2 months, never on a vent, just cpap with a little oxygen and had to learn to eat once she was off the cpap. I was told, and this may be different for earlier babies, but to not expect her to go home before her due date, she was released 3 weeks before her due date. I'd ask for ob to check for any fetal distress and ask if you can get the steroid shots if that's the case. So, good luck, every child is different!

Re: 35 weekers NICU time??
DS1 was born at 35 weeks (counted from conception!), 7lbs 12oz and only spent a few hours in the regular nursery under a warmer. He did have some jaundice issues but we were able to treat him for those at home.
DS2 and DD were born at 33 weeks, and each weighed 4lbs 9oz. They spent 16 days in the NICU as growers/feeders, neither ever needed any extra help otherwise.

Re: 35 weekers NICU time??
I measured big w/C2. Doc tried to get me to induce at 39 weeks. No way. She was 6# 7 oz at 41 weeks. She'd have been in NICU for sure if the doc had gotten his way!
