Re: Would this concern you?
Yes it would concern me. My daughter is hyperactive at her age so if I find something unusual about her behavior (being lethargic) lately, I am going to have her checked up.

Re: Would this concern you?
I'd probably take her in too. It does sound like Mono would be a possibility. Hoping it is nothing. Keep us updated.
to both of you.

Today her activity level has been a little better, but she was coughing all morning, so maybe she does just have a bug. I have a call in to her ped. to see if they want me to bring her in.

Re: Would this concern you?
When I had mono as a teenager, I had to have periodic blood draws to monitor liver function since it can damage the liver. I haven't heard any personal stories of someone who has had liver damage from mono but I know it happens.
If it was mono though she should have had some exposure. Maybe she shared a drink with someone? |

Re: Would this concern you?
She stopped coughing completely after that one morning. Her energy level was a little bit better this weekend, though she ASKED me to go to bed about 30 minutes early yesterday and today. Ped's office was not helpful, they just said "bring her in if you think you need to". With all the flu around, I really really REALLY don't want to take her as a walk-in at the sick clinic.
So, I guess I'm just keeping an eye on her for now!
