Trouble with my new Hygeia

So I got my new pump today in the mail. The one my insurance co ponied up for is a Hygeia and it's very nice and snazzy ($350!). Problem is after sterilizing and reading all the instructions I gave it a try and it seems like it has almost NO suction. Everything is connected correctly (i think) and I plan to call them tomorrow to troubleshoot, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Compared to my old pis, it's got maybe a third of the suction power even on the highest setting.
