How Long Are CP Contageous?

Just found out a friend of ours is at the end of CP with her DD. How long is it contageous? I want to expose my boys but will have to wait till Tuesday or go over this eve.

A person with chickenpox is most contagious during the first 2 to 5 days of being sick

So if she has any open sores I can technically rub baby/toddler on them to contract?

yup. It may not work. It can take up to 21 days after exposure to find out if you have them or not.

Thanks - we think it might be too late. I wish I had known when they first got them. I would have been over in a heartbeat.
