I personally hated the My Breastfriend. I prefer the Boppy. Lanolin cream just creates a barrier and doesn't help heal. I would recommend Earth Mama Angel Baby nipple butter. I use it in the beginning for sore nipples and when DS went through a bitting phase.
Most likely nursing and typing. Please pardon any mistakes. |

Re: Breastfeeding Supplies ~ Recommendations Please!!!
Well then, looks like i am set except for my pump (planning on getting that via insurance in the hospital), the tanks, and the App. I have a Boppy from DD1, ordered Lansinoh & Lansinoh pads, just bought a couple of Marilyn Monroe Brand bras from Marshall's that are like the Target nursing racer backs. I'm ready to give birth now, lol!

Re: Breastfeeding Supplies ~ Recommendations Please!!!
I got my best friend from a moms consignment sale for $10. I took it to the hospital as it helped me with my first one. You can find them on craigslist cheap. Loved Target's nursing tanks and bras. I also loved the book Breastfeeding made simple that I got off eBay at a girlfriends recommendation. I read it before and after...then referenced as situations came up. Lent it to my neighbor across the street too. I am 3.5 months in and she is 5 weeks in. Really put me in the drivers seat. Both me and my neighbor like pumpin pals and simple wishes pumping bra.

Also...we liked the sleeping bras at target with lace. I prefer dark colors as they look cleaner longer.

I never liked nursing bra's and tanks. Drove me crazy. I just got the correct size in a super comfortable non underwire cotton bra and ware a tank w/shelf bra.

![]() The first time I screamed and scared the poor guy, but he scared me first. Lol. After that time, I'd take him off and explain that if hurt Mama and there would be no more milk if he was bitting. I'm not sure how much he understood at 9 months but it seemed to work, he stopped after a few weeks. I also found that if he wasn't really hungry he would nibble. Most likely nursing and typing. Please pardon any mistakes. |

Re: Breastfeeding Supplies ~ Recommendations Please!!!
I am sorry. I forgot my favorite things. Stila lip glaze got me through dry lips in my pregnancy, delivery and nursing. Get good lotion.
Have water everywhere. You get so thirsty. Have snacks in your night stand. You are hungry and don't have time to eat or it is the middle of the night and you need something fast to get more sleep. I do cherry chocolate cashew kind bars. They are 180 calories and you can get them in the pharmacy section of walmart. So healthy with dried fruit and nuts. $4.74 for 4 Not cheap but get some healthy calories in you fast. |
