Ugh Janine. That sounds horrible. The Germans sound super pissy

In a pickle. Was supposed to drive to sc to see bro and new neice well bob just said he can't go. Finally find a decent priced flight but by doing so I really car spring for a hotel which was the original plan. Hr said we can stay there but my parents will be there too. It will be crowded. And I will have to fly alone with all 3 kids. And it is 6 days after walkers tubes. Doc said it would be fine but gut is telling me
Not to go. What should I do

Can just you and Walker go during the week when the other two are in school? Or have MIL watch while Bob is working?

I wouldn't go. Sorry but alone with 3 kids and one of them freshly operated...nope. The noise alone will likely be too much Walker to cope with. No I wouldn't do it.

I speak as a mother of 3 kids that have had that exact surgery...honestly I wouldn't do it.

IDK Kari, three young kids with an baby that just had tubes on a plane for 3-4 hours (and I assume you have to change planes or at least make a stop) to go somewhere without a car or hotel, lugging 3 kids and carseats, crammed in a home with four adults and a NB sounds like a special kind of hell to me.

And I looked, 12 hours to drive

and more than 24 hours, including a layover in NYC, to go by Amtrak. I would either have to go by myself, with Walker, or not at all.

Well, if you go out of Buffalo it is 24hr train ride. If you go out of NY Penn Station to Raleigh it is only 10 hours.

But then again I guess I don't know your flight plan and how long it takes to do that, and if Raleigh is even remotely close to where you are going.

It's not that they'll never see their cousin. It'll happen...just later, when Walker is feeling better and Bob is able to go too.

Sorry ofr the confusion Janine, not fun to have doctors crabbing at you.

Kari I wouldn't travel in that family mess either. They need to meet their cousin but there will be chances when things aren't so crazy and rushed. Honestly as the one with the only child and some distance from MH's cousins it is important to meet them but it is also important to meet them and enjoy the time together not be worried about where people are staying and how walker is and all that jazz. Heck FACETIME them and enjoy some chats that way. MH skypes with her cousin a couple of times a month and they love it.

Jerry but he was supposed to be home 5 minutes ago to get ready to go to ABQ...I NEED OUT OF THIS TOWN.....really needing a break.
