I printed them on fabric paper and zig-zag stitched them on.

That is a great idea to add the photos. What brand of printable fabric do you use? I've had printing problems with some in the past (but it could probably be my temperamental printer).

I have been using Tailor sew-in colorfast fabric for ink jet printers and its been working pretty well. This is another quilt I made for my mom with pics of my dad.
