Sure. They don't really eat snow, but if they wanted to eat fresh snow I don't really care.

we haven't really been around much snow, given that we've always lived in warm climates...but I would discourage it, thinking pollution, dirt, etc. I don't let them eat dirt or sand either, because I am worried about them getting worms, parasites, etc. I am paranoid about that...lol

Absolutely.
When it's clean and fresh.

We like to scoop up a big bowl full and mix it with Jello powder. Super yummy!

Well, I've been known to dip into a nice fresh batch of snow at the start of the season, so I can't imagine that I'll stop my kid when he's big enough to mimic me.

We love to eat snow and make snow ice cream-followed by hot chocolate. It snows (and sticks) here once every two years or so. Of COURSE they are going to get to eat some!
