Make sure you check compatibility. The snug ride 40 has click connect (new connection type for securing to stroller), I'm not sure that it will work with an older stroller. It's a great seat though.

Currently I have My 5yr old DS in a Radian and my 3 yr old DD in a Britax.
I was gonna move my DS to a booster, put my DD in his Radian, and put baby in DD's Britax. But I figure DS can be 5 point harnessed for another year in the Radian if I put baby in the bucket seat. By the time DS has outgrown the Radian, DD will probably have outgrown her Britax and then she can move to the Radian. And Baby will have outgrown her bucket seat and move to the Britax. And through all this I'll be able to do 3 across and avoid having to buy a mini-van

We started with the Chicco Keyfit 30 but soon moved my son out of it and into the Britax Marathon 70. I am planning on using the keyfit with baby number 2. Hopefully she is happier in the carseat than my son was!

I would check the ratings on Consumer Reports. That is how we picked our daughters three years ago.

I ended up getting a Graco Snugride 30 in a cute girly print.
I had a Graco Safeseat for DS years ago that just expired and I really liked it! It was pretty light weight and fit great through when he wa tiny till he was one. Since they no longer mak those, Im assuming the Snugride should be quite similar.

I'm going straight to a convertible, Maxi Cosi Pria 70, because I really don't see myself schlepping an infant car seat around. I'm going to baby wear and have the Mamas & Papas Sola stroller (<3 the reversible seat).

I used a Chicco Keyfit 30 for a year. Now she is RF in a Britax Advocate. She is 2 today.
