how do i wean a 23 month old?

Personally, I never allow any of the "twiddling", and other annoying behaviors. Even my 5 month old is redirected (gently of course).

It is okay to set limits on how your child treats your body. I am nursing DD2 (2yo) and DD3 (5mo) now. DD1 weaned at 38 months and I am VERY strict about nursing. I don't allow nursing gymnastics. You don't have to be abused to nurse a toddler.

OMG Im in the same boat! I hear consistency is key. Ive been trying rubbing her tummy to go to sleep at night. Seems to be working, but we are just on night 2. She still however wakes during the night wanting to nurse. Im so out of it I give in! :/

My daughter is 31 months and still breast feeding. We cosleeps and it makes it difficult to wean. She's stopped breast feeding in public, but I wish she'd stop night nursing. She does that every hour thing, tweaking nipple, etc and it drives me nuts. I am trying to allow her to self wean but oh my gosh this night nursing can be brutal.
