anyone use contragel?
So I am definitely allergic to spermicide. OUCH! And my quick research came up with contragel. We are using a diaphragm, so it would be in addition to the diaphragm. I know it isn't available in the US and I would have to order from Canada, etc. Wondering if anyone has used it?
I saw some recipes for homemade natural ones. It sort of scares me. Plus, I can't use citrus, so that eliminates most of them. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it.

Re: anyone use contragel?
I loved contragel but it is not readily available in the US and ordering it from Canada sucks so I couldn't just pick some up.
When I ran out of contragel I made my own with Aloe and lemon. It was effective and we have used it for years. When we decided that we wanted to open the door to having kids we were pregnant 2 weeks later. So I absolutely believe that lemon juice or contragel gets the job done. We are just starting to TTC after our son, now 2 and have used the lemon juice and aloe since he was 9 months old, when I got my period back. |
