Mine is the total opposite and it causes friction. He's always wanted desperately to help to the point where he takes a little while to hand the child over to me. We all know they want boobie; he just wants to be able to help and he just can't in that area right now. I wish he would be quicker to give me the crying baby though. He's gotten a lot better after many heartfelt talks but I'm on the second nursling and 13 months into it.

That's part of why its annoying. We have FOUR kids! I mean its not like he's a newby Dad.
I finally just told him that if she's been fed and I know she isn't hungry then I'm not taking her from him. He HAS to work through it for them to get past the roadblock of 'She doesn't want me' and 'He can't comfort me!' Haven't had another instance since this post. Tuesday night I'm leaving to get together with some friends to make freezer meals for another friend who is due soon, so we'll see how they do.
