If you use a plain paper mailer be cautious. I have received packages that are torn...luckily nothing was missing but still. You should use something sturdier than a Manila envelope...or use LOTs of tape.

Re: How do you package for shipping?
Make sure to use good PACKING tape, and if you're using some kind of paper mailer it needs to go around all of the edges. Scotch, duct, masking, etc tape can all come off pretty easily in the machine sorting process.

Re: How do you package for shipping?
I like to get creative with what I have on hand. My husband stuck my craft box I. The attic, so my tissue paper is gone, but I was doing similar to you, then I started cutting down gift bags (place in ziplock bag prior to the gift bag) this was cute. Lots of tape just in case. I reuse poly mailers from others flip it inside out. I used a playdoh box once and then cut a yard trash bag to wrap it in. Always lots of tape for anything other than poly mailers.
