43 week pregnancy, unassisted home birth

Great birth story! I was almost a week late and the little one was 5lb7oz. The OB wanted to take her two weeks earlier before she went on vaK. And, everything should have been point-on with the dates. Babies do need the time to cook that our body gives them!

congrats My last baby was smaller than I expected also; he would have been 42 + 4 by the DD wheel. 7 pounds 4 ounces.
Good job on your husband's part. Mine can't even change a diaper, so I am not seeing him clean up after a birth. I think that was the part that worried him the most about the homebirth!
