Re: 4 month old drastic sleep pattern change
Four months is that special time in a baby's life when they decide it okay to no longer sleep...LOL! My 2nd son decided that sleep was for wimps then and regressed to only sleeping 2 hours per day till he was medicated at 15 months old. My other 2 had a slight regression where they woke more often for a few months. I just held them and nursed them back to sleep. We cosleep though, so it is easier to deal with these issues than if they were in a crib.

Re: 4 month old drastic sleep pattern change
Thank you all for the replies. It makes me feel better that it is a normal part of his development and not something I did wrong all the sudden. No ear infection, but that is a very good thing to be aware of because it could develop in the future.
Thank you to the mama that provided the links, I was reading through them last night at 4 am as I was up with my DS, not surprisingly, lol. He didn't sleep through the night like he had been before all this, but he did go to bed easily the first time he woke without being picked up. I think i only had to get up with him one Other time than that. I'm sure it will differ night to night, just something we'll be working on. Thanks! |
