So, after weeks of stalking this forum and months of intensive research...I finally got to go cloth diaper shopping! *happy dance*
![]() It was sooo much fun! All of the covers were so pretty, and everything felt so soft and neat and and and....yeah, it was basically awesome. I can't wait for the cloth diapers I purchased from GMD to arrive so I can start CDing my 4 week old. /impatient I bought - 8 Rumparooz Diaper Covers - The Whole Rainbow plus 2 Whites with snaps 2 Bamboozle Fitted Diapers for nighttime 18 Yellow Edge GMD Prefolds Organic, Unbleached 6 GMD Flats - Small 1 Yellow Edge Workhorse, Snapless 2 GMD Hemp Doublers, 1 With Fleece and 1 Without 10 Kissaluvs Baby Wipes (this way I can try out a little bit of a lot and see what I like and what works for my son) and 2 Snappies 2 Diaper Pin Sets 1 KangaCare Pail Liner So what do you guys think, good stash for a 10 pound 4week old baby? Am I missing anything? Anything I should try different? I'm hoping to figure out what folding etc works best for us so that by the time he needs medium size cloths I'll know what to invest in since I think the mediums are used a lot longer. Also, if taken are of properly, do you think I could all of these items to last in good enough condition for a possible next child in the further? |

This sounds like a lovely starter stash! And the yellow prefolds are great- we have them and still use them trifolded in a cover for our 18 mth old! I suggest trying three of the covers out before you take the tags off the others. That way if you don't love the rumparooz covers you an return some for something else. I really wish I had done that- I bought a whole set of cover just to realize they didn't fit my ds right and then I was stuck with them
![]() Have fun!!!

Yay for starter stashes! At least you get to jump in right away - I'm ten weeks from getting to use my stash on LO!

Just my experience with newborn (mine is 3 weeks old), if you are buying multiples, don't remove tags of all and don't prep all of them. Just prep one from the same lot, so that you can return if not satisfied. Did not mean to throw in a wrench, but I had to return and i was glad that I retained tags.
