When is your first appointment?

My DR always does 8-10 weeks, but I have always had an ultrasound done at 6-8 weeks to make sure all is well and confirm a due date. I just say I don't know when my LMP was, and that I experienced some slight spotting (which I normally do), and I always get an ultrasound. I have pics of all of my babies at 6 weeks, it's kind of a tradition now and I love the "little bean" pictures, I couldn't go without one!

With both my babies I had threatened miscarriages (I think that's what it's called when you have the cramping and spotting but don't lose the baby, right?) and ended up having ultrasounds at 5 weeks with my first (I had a cyst that we thought might be an ectopic - all was well though) and with my dd at 9 weeks bc I had heavier bleeding.

I'm five weeks now and so far no issues. I'm also kind of stuck regarding insurance and which care provider to use. So it'll have to wait until I get that settled.

Going back in Monday for repeat labs. I'll schedule an appointment then I suppose. Since my first daughter has special needs they usually keep a close eye on me.

I'm guessing I won't see anyone until March. We moved in the fall and I've been lazy about finding a doctor , although I'm thinking I may try to find a midwife this time around. Need to do some phoning I guess.

Mine is the 25th, so I'll be like 7 weeks. I have a history of complications though.

with my first i was seen at 6 weeks, mostly because i was getting ready to travel internationally to a third world country for 2 weeks. With my second it was closer to 11 weeks....i just got my bfp yesterday. I'll wait a few more days before i call and schedule. I am not due for my period until the 15th.

My first appt is march 11th. Ill be 8 weeks! I'm dying to see this little person. I've been taking hpt like a mad woman!

I'm never in a rush. I'll wait until I'm 12 or so weeks.

You're going already? I never go til at least 12 weeks, lol. I may do my first hb this time though so I do need to look into that. Plus my obgyn retired. I hate looking for (and going to) doctors. Anyone know a good midwife in southern mo?

May want to check out the location forums. I had an hb last time and I can't wait to do it again!

I was going to wait until 12 weeks, but prenatal care seems so important in the first trimester. I have pretty awesome nutrition, so no worried there, but if I'm paying a global fee to my midwife, I might as well go in early! I see her this Thursday - ill be 5.3w
