What is the deal with other people's need to balance your family?

We have three boys an get asked all of the time I we are going to try for a girl just one last time. I have no desire to have a daughter. I love my boys . Oh and I like a pp have a 7&10 year old and think Luke was an oops. Nope he was very much planned but I went back to school when ds 2 was 3 and then worked for a couple of years before I wanted to have another baby.

I'm guessing your children are all very unhappy, possibly because they don't have a sister. :P

I imagine moms of all girls get this too, it's just never something I've considered..

I have 3 brothers and I always got pity from people (usually strangers) because I didn't have any sisters. But it was awesome because I got my own room, and no one stole my clothes!

I have two boys and am really really hoping #3 is a boy as well. No one believes me and tells me "you're just saying that so that you won't seem disappointed if it happens." Um... I LOVE my two boys and I think 3 would be adorable! Before I had kids I wanted all girls. I'll be happy with whatever, but seriously, why do other people care.

Some people are just nosy. It seems like as soon as we gave birth to DD people were coming out of the woodworks telling us since we had one of each that we were done. Um, excuse me?!? How is that your business? They are all going to fly off the handle when they find out were pregnant again.

I am head over heels in love with my boys. If we were to have a 3rd (DH snipped so no more) I know I would be thrilled with another boy.

My DH's cousin has 2 DDs, and she is blissfully happy as a girl mama. And my parents had 3 girls naturally and were perfectly happy with all girls. They then became foster parents and eventually adopted 4 more children, but only because they wanted more kids, not because they wanted a child of another gender.
