Sleepovers ?

My dd is 8 and most birthday parties she's invited to now are sleepovers.

This topic comes up here all the time. Overwhelmingly the opinions seem to be that their kids will not do sleepovers but in practice I only know 1 girl in real life who isn't allowed to. There is another who just doesn't like to and gets picked up that night.

There are a couple of families where I wouldn't let dd sleepover but usually we just have a talk about things that might happen that she might not be comfortable with and how she just needs to tell the mom she has a stomach ache and needs to go home and I'll come get her so she doesn't need to feel embarrassed about saying anything.
