Family Doctor Recommendations in Hampton Roads?
I'm looking for a Dr. for my baby (and myself, if I can find a good family doctor). I'm due in March & planning a homebirth. I'm not 100% sure about vaccinations so I'm thinking we will probably delay &/or not do some of them.
Anyone have recommendations for a Family Doctor OR a Pediatrician who won't freak out over homebirth & delayed vax? Maybe a D.O., rather than an M.D.? TIA |

Re: Family Doctor Recommendations in Hampton Roads?
If you're still looking, we love Dr. Melissa Lexier over at Sentara Princess Anne Pediatrics. I see Dr. Jason Johnson in the office next door for Family Medicine.
Lexier is CD friendly, Vax delay friendly (both my kids are delayed), No vax friendly (though she does still have to tell you about it once but will not ask again if you decline), BF friendly (she nursed Twins) but I'm not sure about Home Birth. With her attentive open personality, I feel she wouldn't have a problem with it and she wasn't freaked with my co-sleeping while they were babies. Last edited by ChikaNeko; 03-28-2013 at 08:03 AM. |
