If it comes to this, I will definitely do it this way to save money. Our fridge pipe busted and we are about to put the kids in daycare so i can find work. Fnancially I just can't go (even just labs) right now. But this is a great suggestion and if all else fails I will go this route. Thank you.

Wow!! This stuff works fast! no side effects yet, other than extra milk.

Bumping this thread because I am hypo too and while fenugreek DOES work, it can also lower your thyroid function. So, try another galactagogue if you start experiencing worse thyroid symptoms!

agreed. take kelp or Iodine to help with thyroid and your adrenals will even out, thus make more milk.
in the mean time, you may take mother milk or fenugreek.

Do you guys think that having a water softner may be playing a role in low milk supply? How much salt gets into the drinking water? I never had low milk with my first. I also lived in an area with "normal" water. I think I may buy some bottled and see if that makes a difference.

I have Hashimoto's and used both MM tea and Fenugreek when nursing DD. Like everyone else said, HYDRATE and make sure your levels are good. But yes, both are completely safe to take with your thyroid meds.

I never like drinking "softened" water, so always end up dehydrated when visiting my parents because they have a softener. Only you know whether you're drinking enough, but if you think that is part of the problem, you can buy a couple gallons of drinking water and see if that makes any difference for you.

With my first I had an oversupply. Now I feel like the only time my LO gets full is at night. Frustrating. :/ thanks for all the suggestions!
