Bumping this thread because I am hypo too and while fenugreek DOES work, it can also lower your thyroid function. So, try another galactagogue if you start experiencing worse thyroid symptoms!

Re: Fenugreek, mothers milk tea, and thyroid issues.
Do you guys think that having a water softner may be playing a role in low milk supply? How much salt gets into the drinking water? I never had low milk with my first. I also lived in an area with "normal" water. I think I may buy some bottled and see if that makes a difference.

Re: Fenugreek, mothers milk tea, and thyroid issues.
I have Hashimoto's and used both MM tea and Fenugreek when nursing DD. Like everyone else said, HYDRATE and make sure your levels are good. But yes, both are completely safe to take with your thyroid meds.

Re: Fenugreek, mothers milk tea, and thyroid issues.
I never like drinking "softened" water, so always end up dehydrated when visiting my parents because they have a softener. Only you know whether you're drinking enough, but if you think that is part of the problem, you can buy a couple gallons of drinking water and see if that makes any difference for you.

Re: Fenugreek, mothers milk tea, and thyroid issues.
With my first I had an oversupply. Now I feel like the only time my LO gets full is at night. Frustrating. :/ thanks for all the suggestions!
