Re: morning sickness help
i had morning sickness for 10 weeks and was miserable.
I tried b6 and unisom which seemed to work ok... but eating every single hr was the only thing that helped. and ANYTHING i wanted. I still puked about 5 times. i wished I had tried sea bands I also read that pot is helpful and I will probably be trying that next time. sorry to admit but it has great reviews.

Re: morning sickness help
I tried everything with my 2nd. I had horrible morning sickness. Even tried prescription anti nausea. The only thing that worked was motion sickness bracelets that were tight, and had little balls that used pressure points. I got mine at a pharmacy.

As an HG survivor, I can say that the thing that helped me was to not allow my stomach to be completely empty. And the thing that keeps a stomach busiest is protein. A slice of turkey helped me sometimes. I had to do a lot of things, including a prescription to get through though and I was sick for 8.5 months. Maybe your illness will pass soon.

Re: morning sickness help
I have found that combining protein and carbs in my hourly snack works better than carbs alone. I also make some ginger tea the night before so I can drink it as soon as I wake up. The smell of lemons or lime helps a lot too. I take time off snacks with me to work in case something makes me queasy I can try something else. Hope this helps!

Re: morning sickness help
My MS was pretty bad and landed me in the hospital 4 times for severe dehydration. I spent basically all day curled up in a ball in agony, and physically couldn't stand for more than a few minutes at a time. Combined with the weight gain I definitely had HG. It started within days of conception, and lasted through about week 12. Then faded until about week 20.
I tried a little of everything. Reglan and Unisom/B6 didn't help. Zofran kinda took the edge off so that I was sometimes able to keep food down. Never having a fully empty stomach really helped, but eating is hard when you feel miserable like you're about to throw up all day. Drink as many fluids as you can to to stay out of the ER! Another thing that really helped me was fresh air. I was able to lay outside and that was nice. I never really found anything that helped much. |

Re: morning sickness help
Not necessarily! This pregnancy, mine has so far been the worst from week 5-6. Then i felt a little better and it worried me since I had a loss in Oct. But I'm 7 weeks and 3 days now and its back! So far for me, the sea bands have helped during the day while at work. Just about any thought of food makes me wants to vomit and I literally have to take it meal by meal on what I can eat. I feel the best when laying down and sleeping. I've also started taking my prenatal at night which has helped. I keep telling myself I need to make some ginger tea, but I keep forgetting.
Goodluck!!
