I don't know what her recipe is, but you can make banana "ice cream" but freezing sliced bananas for about 30 mins to an hour. then put into the food processor and process until ice cream texture. Takes a few minutes but it works great and it really does get creamy like ice cream. We add frozen or fresh strawberries to it and have banana strawberry ice cream.

We keep frozen bananas in the freezer at all times. Usually broken in 1/2. My boys eat them like a popscicle and we also blend them into "ice cream." Cocoa, peanut butter and cinnamon date are all favorite flavors.
