When did your preemie walk?

Ds was a 30 weeker. He walked around 17.5 months.

My DD1 was 35 weeks and walked at 16 months

My 32-weeker walked at 18 months. He also has acquired hydrocephalus and had a shunt placed in his brain at 8 months old. Therefore, his head has always been disproportionately large for his body especially when he was younger. This threw off his center of gravity making him really top-heavy, and all his gross motor skills were delayed, including walking. He is nearly 3 years old now and can keep up with other kids his age, even though he is a head shorter! LOL

DD was a 33 weeker and walked at 14m actual, 12.5 adjusted. She did the Frankenstein walk for awhile before getting the hang of it.

My 29 weeker is just now walking, at 20.5 months old.

My twins were 31 weekers. DD2 started walking at 12 mo actual/10 mo adjusted. DS is ready to take his first step any day now at 15 mo actual/13 mo adjusted and he has problems with the bones in his right leg and hip (had surgery at 3 weeks old and he will have a second surgery in the next few weeks).

FWIW, my full-term, healthy, smart DD1 walked at 15 mo, so later than both of my preemies.

My preemie is 18 months old born at 30 weeks she walks assisted & holding onto things. But she did make it across the room alone the other day but she hasn't done it since then.
