I'm actually really liking them! I am hesitant about them having the same price point, but I think I'm going to get a few.
I'm a Flips/flats girl too but diapering my toddler when we're out and about is like diapering an octopus...and he's making fun games thrashing his legs around lately while laughing maniacally. YAY
I'm thinking of getting a 6 pack to keep in the diaper bag rotation if nothing else because it's too hard to keep everything straight in the cover, one handed with a wiggler!

If the cotton yardage is the same, what's the issue with the price-point? Just curious.

For me if I get a day pack of flip organic daytime flats for 60, then my covers were about 10 and the flats were each 5. A great deal! So each individual combination is about 15. To get the AIO its 25 which is 10 dollars more. It's just too much for me. Plus I can reuse my covers which is cheaper. Im just a cheapie. If I could afford it I would love to get a whole bunch.

ETA: In reading the other thread I realized you were talking about the cotton yardage of an old Elemental versus a new Elemental. Oops.

I thought you were talking about the price point of a Flip daytime insert in a flip versus the Elemental. Sorry about that.

Hmm, now hearing that they are the same amount of cotton as the old Elementals, I bet these will be nice since for people who can handle exposed PUL. It would be very nice to be able to buy diapers once for a new baby and be done, especially with something that is very simple to use. If I was to have another baby (not very likely) and had the $, I would strongly consider buying only a 24 pack for an entire stash. I'm boring like that.

I did actually briefly consider getting a few but I just can't justify anything beyond Flips and prefolds or flats for an 18mo who may PL early. I loved the old style Elemental and I am definitely a fan of Flips, so I while I'm disappointed with certain changes I am sure they will still be great.

Right, but Flip has always been more economical than Elemental, right?

It sure has, but what I think some people are reacting to is that they feel the Elemental is too "flip like". Therefore the comparisons are abounding. I personally think its a neat diaper and the ONLY AIO I have ever been remotely interested in owning. But, Im a Flip person, not an AIO person so I think that is why I like it.

Has everyone that loves them seen the pictures posted by someone here?........how the inserts were all bunched up in the centre and the exposed PUL majorly up against skin? Or did she update and it wasn't such a big deal and I missed that? I can't imagine having inserts bunched up all banana crotch like and PUL up against my skin all day......yuck.
