Diaper rash treatment?

My dd has had a bad rash for a little over a week, and its getting to the point that she screams and just rolls around on the floor because she can't stand to stand. I've tried to let it air out most of the day but that doesn't seem to help. I've also tried coconut oil, which I heard helps, But to me I think it just makes it worse. The only thing I've really been putting on it is baby powder, because it seems to give her slight relief and is safe on the diapers, but after a bad evening of screaming and thrashing I just now decided to put on desitin. I don't know what else to use and I'm not sure what is causing the rash. At first I was thinking it was because my husband washed a diaper load in gain, when I know that usually gives the kids rashes and I try to only wash it in homemade, but I rewashed them all and the rash is still there. She also just got over a cold and is also getting her 1 year molars in. Her cheeks ( the face ones lol) have had this slight rash to them as well lately, so I was almost thinking it was something viral?? I'm not sure but I want to find something that will help her not be in pain. Any advice would help. Thanks

We are just on the tail end of a rash like this but for my dd it turned into a yeast rash. We put LOtrimin and A&D ointment on it and its FINALLY starting to clear up. And we switched to sposies until it cleared up.

Re: Diaper rash treatment?

What about trying 100% pure aloe. Don't use the stuff with alcohol in it because I would think that would burn worst. I use the green tube of all natural butt paste which works for us. I would say try bathing her well, maybe not a bath tub where she is sitting in the water, but trying holding her in the shower for a few days. Also arrowroot powder is an alternative to baby powder. Good luck! I hate when our babies hurt!
