Help! Keeping straight posts!

Pretty new here and find it hard to keep straight what thread my pm messages belong to? I look at many! I mark to follow a thread most of the time, but is there a way to just click from a pm to the thread we are discussing? Maybe it's just me. Operator error..

usually I copy and paste the title of the thread we are talking about into the subject line of the message

or you can go to their profile and find the post that you are talking about
