EBF and introducing solids
I am wary of introducing solids because I don't want it to change our ebf routine.. Is that wrong? How did you all manage it? I don't want him to nurse a whole lot less. He is 5 mo now and we aren't introducing yet, maybe next month but maybe not. thoughts?

I didn't start till 6.5-7 months and only after BF, she is 10 months & maybe has 2 jars of food a day. She does have snacks or teething biscuits but I'm in no hurry to stop. She gets so many more benefits from nursing.

Re: EBF and introducing solids
When we introduced solids, our breastfeeding schedule didn't change. She still nursed the same number of times a day, we just added meals. I nurse her before she eats solid foods.

Re: EBF and introducing solids
My son is 11 months and we do not do food regularly. He EBFs still. I am getting ready to introduce solids 2 times per day finally. I did not want to disrupt my nursing relationship.

Re: EBF and introducing solids
Solids should complement nursing, not replace it.
Nurse before and after and it shouldn't interfere at all!

We didn't introduce solids until 8 months or so. We finally started when he was begging to try what was in our plate. He is 16 months now and still nursing all day and night with his meals. I would follow you baby and your instincts!
