if you use a cover...
... what kind do you prefer and why?
I have a peanut shell (second hand, so maybe newer ones are different) and while it's nice enough, I wish it were wider to cover more area around me and the rigid strip under my chin won't stay put, so I have to hold it out to peek at baby which defeats the purpose in my opinion. I've thought of making one of the jersey knit poncho style covers just to have that around the body coverage I'd be more comfortable with for when I feel I need to be covered. Just curious what others prefer. thanks |

Re: if you use a cover...
When we are out I do not usually cover while nursing, I just cover while getting my LO to latch on. For this, we use a receiving blanket

I sewed an extra-long, extra-wide one. I put boning in the neck, and it's been great!

I have a bebe au lait and love it! I am well endowed and have a hard time being discreet without it.

Re: if you use a cover...
I have a nursing cover from babies r us, it has a weight in the one corner to help keep it in place. it is the size of a receiving blanket.

Re: if you use a cover...
I have a Balboa that I got on clearance from BRU. I like it because it has the rigid neck so I can still see what's going on underneath. It's easy to tighten/loosen, just by pulling on a strap through a ring. It also has a front pocket, but I've never used it.

Re: if you use a cover...
I have a bebe au lait. I really like it, though I wish it was just a little bit wider (mostly just for the latch on, once he is latched on, it covers us very well). The boning in the next works pretty well.

I use a ring sling, but it's less for cover and more to support DS and free up a hand.
