GMD workhorse vs. Tinkletraps for a NB
I'm trying to decided what to get for our surprise newbie due in Sept. I like the look of both tinkle traps and GMD workhorse. So tell me which is better for newbies and will last the longest. I will use pockets once the baby is bigger and squirmier. Also do I want snaps or snapless, and on the tinkle traps, side snaps or front snaps?
If it helps my babies are 8lbs plus and over 21 inches!

the elatic in Tinkle traps is not terrible, but also not the best. i haven't tried workhorses.

Re: GMD workhorse vs. Tinkletraps for a NB
I love GMD workhorse dipes. For a little one I would get snapless. I like snaps for my 11 month old because I can let him run around the house without a cover but for a little one I would go snapless. Also, the organic GMDs are sooo soft ans squishy.

Would you get the yellow edge since my babies tend to be bigger?

Re: GMD workhorse vs. Tinkletraps for a NB
I actually sent in my infant and toddler GMD to have them converted to Tinkel traps. LOVEd them. My last was 10lbs 6 oz and 21 and I didn't get anything fancy other than rainbow serging. I either pinned or left them crossed over and then a cover since I changed him so often as a newbie. As a toddler the toddler ones were great for night time and learning to pl. He was pl by the time he was 2.5 bitter sweet.. he's now 5 :*(

I preferred TT to GMD WH for the nb stage I thought the GMD elastic was wonky and 2.5 years ago the nb did not have a doubler. I was at nickis diapers the other day and was surprised to see that they sell a WH/TT in their imagine brand (snapless). https://www.nickisdiapers.com/mobile...t=2304#page-84

I had both in NB size. I prefered GMD WH by far. The legs of the TT were hard to get on tight enough for ebf poop containment.
Eta. I think Im the only one who actually liked the xs WH without a doubler sewn in. It made them trim on a tiny newborn and it was fine if I was able to change frequently, which I try to do. I have lots of doublers and preferred to lay in a small bamboo doubler when more absorbancy was needed.

I only have one GMD WH and it does not have a doubler. I much prefer our tinkle traps (we have 12) which are high up on my list of favorites for my newb.

Not to cause you more confusion, but DiaperJunction just came out with their own workhorse and I think they are a little cheaper than GMDs. I LOVE diaper rite prefolds so I would prob get these if it were me.

My girl was born last week at 8-15, 21 inches. The newborn gmd (orange edge) are definitely not too small. I wish I had snapless though, its hard to get a good fit because she has good sized thighs and a thin waist. But I don't have any tt so I can't compare...good luck!
sorry, i'm really bad at autocorrect and I don't like proof reading!
