I hope he doesn't have kids of his own. I use corner or time out, but not to that degree. Only 1 minute per year of age.

I like a lot of the ideas Super Nanny and Nanny 911 have. I just don't like their opinion on co sleeping nor their idea that a 2-3 year old isn't a baby. I know many disagree with me but to me a 2-3 year old is a baby

I've only seen a few episodes because the families are hard to watch..how does it get so bad?

But, I like anything that works. When things get that out of hand, I think anything short of abuse is necessary.

She does a lot of things that aren't how I plan to parent but they aren't things I consider horrible either. I'm not into time out but I also have an alternative. For the families she helps they have absolutely no parenting skills and I think she really helps them. I also agree with PP that I don't agree with her co sleeping/ sleep training thing but at the same time she usually isn't helping people who are happy with their sleepign arrangements.

That "man of god" would get a very strongly worded letter and be out of our life.
