sewed up a newbie hat today for a friend's surprise baby outfit (I know the gender and she does not).

These things are super quick to make and I see a few of these in my future.

I don't know anyone from the October 2008 EDD group anymore. I was on the cusp with DS too. He was due October 10 but born Sept. 26. So cool that we can stay in touch!

Erica what kind of pattern did you use for the newbie hat? I had a sleep hat when I had no hair and I liked it. It was very comfy and warm enough for me. It was made out of just interlock. Oh and trust me, not having hair for a while was a REAL wake up call for me. I learned that even in the summer, your head can get cold, especially at night! Amazing what we forget when we have hair!

DH said we can go and get the stroller today at Buy Buy Baby if they have the color that we want. I told him that we would likely get another coupon from them, but he figured that we should use it when we have it. I agree!

Jennifer- My ODD is sept 26 too! 'o6 though. I was on the cusp with both my others, but I wasn't in a DDC with dd2. I started in the Oct 11 group but switched to the Aug11 group about midway. So glad I did. I love those gals!

Is it bad that I slept until 10 today?? lol The girls got up way before me but they just colored and watched some cartoons until I got up. ds slept in too. It was lovely actually.
Now I have to play catch up with the day. I think I'm going to try and go to the grocery store today. The girls are going to spend the night at gma's so it'll be me and dh and ds tonight. yay!

I was tossing and turning last night. Maybe because dh was sleeping on the couch in the bonus room with DS. And DD's radio was up super loud and she had a couple of lights on. Finally at 5 I went into her room and turned off the radio and lights. Then DH came in around 7. I got up at 9 and everyone is still asleep (9:30).

Jennifer The hat was just some tutorial I found online...let me see if I can find it again. It's real simple tho. You can take a hat you already have and trace it with a 1/4" seam allowance. And then cut out a brim. And sew together.

As far as due date clubs...I was in one with DS over at epregnancy, December 06...he was born November 30th. We stayed in touch for a bit then just parted ways. With DD I was in the September 10 group here. They started a FB page (which I don't do FB) and apparently had a HUGE falling out and split the FB group in two very sad. Another reason why I don't like FB
