We have one of those umbrella looking clothesline things on a pole outside. The nice thing about it is that you can fold it up and take it inside whenever necessary, pole and all.
We have a retractable line in our laundry room for drying indoors.

I am so happy I saw this before I have my baby! My dogs get into everything and it hasn't even occurred to me that I should put the drying rack in the front yard so they can't get it! You saved me a bunch of stress!!

We have an umbrella type rack also. I love it. We line dry outside when it's not raining and inside if it is raining. Then I toss the diapers in the dryer for 5 min to fluff them!

Re: Drying diapers outside

I used to have an umbrella clothesline (the ones that open or pop out, kwim?), worked awesome in town, but when we moved out here we lost all wind cover and had to stop using it because the wind would blow it over.
I really wish DH would put up something that would withstand the wind for me, but that hasn't happened yet.
