Well the poll only allowed one option, so I chose 2-3 mo though DS1 was a surprise. DH was previously married for 6 yrs and they tried to have kids. He has very low sperm count/mobility and they told him it was unlikely he would conceive naturally. They did both try clomid for several rounds, unsuccessfully. They used no form of protection for most of the marriage. DH took this to mean he was basically infertile and relayed such to me. Yeah , lol. So we were active and using no protection for 3 mo and found out on month 4 that we were expecting DS1. So three full cycles was all it took. Sheer luck? We weren't really sure! DH thinks it was fate and just wasn't meant to be with his XW, I think more scientifically minded and figure something was probably wrong with her baby making parts in addition to his, causing the lack of success. Or maybe I am just super fertile.

Fast forward and we decided to try for a second baby, weren't sure if DS1 was a fluke or if we could have more. I had Mirena removed, returned to normal cycling immediately, and 3 mo later DS2 announced his arrival. So three cycles seems to be our thing. Worth noting that for DS2, I used ovulation predictors and basic charting (no temping or anything like that). I figured it couldn't hurt!

Proud SAHM to Connor (8-6-10) and our little born 4-14-13

It was a good 2 years of trying for DD. My body was all screwed up from birthcontrol I had been on years before and and STI that went unchecked for too long. Ovulation happened very rarely and sporadically, fertile CM was non existenctant. We started getting really serious and said we would try really hard, with herbs and everything for 1 more year, then we'll go for fertility treatment. I started taking, vitex, yuca, green tea, vitamin b6, and vitamin a, all together they were supposed to promote ovulation and increase fertile CM. Second month of taking them I had the smallest amount of stretchy CM, decided to give it a go that night, ovulation was confirmed a day later (firat one in about 8-9 months), and we had a BFP 11 days after that.

This time we werent TTC or TTA, but we also didn't think we could do it with out at least a little help. I told DH in one night of fun, that I might be ovulating, he said he wouldn't mind another baby, and made no effort to prevent. A week after a missed AF we got our BFP, completely surprised, and thrilled that it happened.
Jenna - wife to Harrison since 2007, and proud mama to miss Matilda Quinn(Sept-06-11) and mr Felix Byron (May-25-13)

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

I have no idea how our first slipped by. We were using condoms, I got pregnant ~2mo after we were married. I didn't even notice I was late.... until I couldn't do up my pants for our nieces baptism.
Mama to N (Aug 1/07), J (July 5/10) & R (March 11/14)

Been on birth control since I was 14. Had Mirena for 9 months, got it pulled in November and picked up my cycles back to normal immediately. Took us 6 months. At 9.5w PP I got my period back... we'll see if it's regular or not since I'm still EBF...
