is it ok for PUL to touch babies skin...
I ordered a couple new systems and all.of them leave baby exposed to some amount of pul is this ok?

Most babies are just fine with some exposed PUL. Very rarely, it will irritate a sensitive baby's skin for one reason or another, but it's the exception, not the rule. Generally speaking, depending on the system, the amount of PUL that actually touches the skin is very small.

It's okay as long as your LO is fine with it. My oldest was perfectly fine with it but my youngest two will get red welts and react immediately.

For my kid it depends if pul around the sides touches her or along the back waist its not a big deal if you ever the more sensitive areas around her groin area or front tummy then we get some eczema spots that creep up. I also have to be a little more on top of things in the summer heat. Overall though it isn't a big deal. However this is one reason I'm now bifolding instead of trifolding my inserts to give more PUL coverage and avoid the exposure.
