Best bottle for a breastfed baby-occasional formula?
We are expecting #4 this summer. I've never used formula, but I have a sneaky suspicion that I may need to occasionally supplement with her just because I NEED to be able to hand her off to big brother/sister/dad during my classes and also if my very attached to me 2 year old needs me.
I could never get my other kids to take a bottle, not even expressed milk (which I'll try to go that route, but I'm not opposed to a bottle of formula now and then!!) Are there any bottles out there that seem to be widely accepted by breastfed babies? Is there a formula out there that is "better" than others for a breastfed baby? Thanks!

Re: Best bottle for a breastfed baby-occasional formula?
I can't answer on the formula but my DD has a bottle when I work. We use the Medela bottles with an orthodontic nipple made by Nuk. I get them at Toys R Us, and they are made for "on the go" usage. You pop them onto the ready made formula bottles they sell.
We started off with a wide mouthed bottle but she doesn't like silicone at all. She prefers the latex nipple, and does really well with the orthodontic nip.

It's different for every baby. We had luck with Tommee Tippee.

We also used and still use Tommee Tippee (we only do formula now, but when I still was able to BF, she switched easily between the breast and Tommee Tippee)---this was starting at around 2 weeks old.

Try the Lansinoh mOmma bottle, it worked great for us when we needed it!

The Comotomo bottle has worked well for us. It has a nipple that requires a vey similar breastfeeding latch.

I use Dr Browns Standard for all of my kiddos. They were BF while I was home, and bottle fed while I worked.
My daughter was happy with Costco brand, Target brand, and Similac.

I am using Dr Browns and my daughter has not had any issues with it. I think they work really well at keeping the air out and keeping her happy. However, the bottles do have a lot of parts to wash so can be a pain to clean.

Re: Best bottle for a breastfed baby-occasional formula?
Each of my children preferred different bottles. Actually both my girls fought tooth and nail the bottle but did eventually take one. Not sure if they preferred one bottle over another or if they just accepted their fate and accepted whatever bottle it was that we were trying. My son on the other hand could care less what type of bottle. He took any and all as long as he was getting milk.
