Re: NB diaper stashes

OMG! lol you are really ready for the cloth diapering adventures! My daughter is due in July and I just started searching for the cloth diapers because I realized how much money I can save by using them and they're SUPER cute lol. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions on what works best for newborns? We don't have a lot of money, so buying 24 new diapers at $25 a piece isn't feasible. And I don't want to waste my money either. I was going to use prefolds and covers because I already have at least 30 prefolds that I used as burp cloths for my first daughter. But I would really like some insight to what is best! Thanks!

Be careful. It is addicting!! I was only going to buy just enough to get by. I ended up buying over 100 o.0

Re: NB diaper stashes

Wow, that's a great stash! I decided to stick mostly with prefolds and covers at least for the newborn stage, but will get some all in ones and pockets for night time sleepy changes (me being sleepy, not baby haha) or in case a grandma wants to attempt a change!

So now I have: 24 infant prefolds, 12 covers, 2 AIOs, 2 pockets (bought as irregulars on the Swaddlebee/Blueberry site, so they didn't come with inserts), 3 Snappis, and 32 cloth wipes. I wanna get a dozen small prefolds, maybe 4 infant workhorses, and a few Swaddlebees newborn simples (because I have a $10 off a purchase of $50 that I want to use).

Not sure if it's enough, but I'm already getting a major cloth addiction. So many cutes!

Re: NB diaper stashes

For the newborn stage, I have 18 GMD prefolds, 5 prowrap covers, 4 Happy Heiney's. However for the bigger stage I have several Sunbaby, swaddlebees, BG, Flips, Kissaluvs and Fuzzibunz

I'll post a pic later, but I just ordered 6 thx newborns (like lil joeys), I have 4 lil joeys, 23 nb aios (bare bum diapers), 6 orange edge pfs, dozen preemie pfs, 6 nb covers, 6 softbums with 12 super inserts and 6 nb inserts. and finally, 15? stay dri nb size inserts i made (just one of these inside a cover was my fave the first 2 weeks while theyre so tiny. I read reviews on the newborn flips and decided to make my own in the shape I wanted. More than I need for sure. I have lots (at least 24) of girly nb fitteds and a few gn, but I like to use wool with them and mil washes my wool. So I just pet them because they're cute and soft. I should sell them, I guess.
