Waiting for payment

How long as a seller do you all wait before bumping a for sale thread again once you send someone your pp address?

I had someone pm me this afternoon (7 hours ago) that they wanted my diapers and I messaged her back an hour later with my pp (6 hours ago) and I haven't heard anything or gotten payment but I can see that she's been online since then. I don't want to bump the post and get another offer or something and have her come back pissed off that I sold them to someone else or something but I hate waiting on people especially when it says that they've been online hours after I replied to them.

Re: Waiting for payment

It's the weekend, I'd wait until Monday. I personally practically stalk DS if I'm diaper hunting, but when I'm not I leave the DS window open on my laptop even when I'm not around so it probably shows I'm on all the time. Has she posted recently in the past 6 hours?

No she hasn't posted, which was my main 'I shouldn't jump the gun' thinking but I wasn't sure if I should move on tomorrow morning or wait longer.

Re: Waiting for payment

I remember reading a mamas post where she said that she lets the buyer know that they have 24hrs to make the payment after which the mama moves on to the next person in line. That way sellers are not obligated to keep waiting and guessing if the buyer is really interested or not.
(However,I dont do this.......I keep waiting patiently for the mama to make the payment)

Re: Waiting for payment

Just mark the ones she wants as pending. Then you can bump for the remainder of the diapers. If she back out you can remove the pending notes

Re: Waiting for payment

I usually give 24 hours and then move on.

Since it is the weekend I would definatly give at least 24 hours. Like other poster said-- If I am home all day I have the laptop open and a bunch of sites open, so while it looks like i am on line, I only stop and actually get on once in awhile.

I would say 24 hours as well.

Having your browser open shouldn't cause you to appear online indefinitely though. Unless you have your browser set to automatically refresh, the board shouldn't recognize you as being active if there hasn't been any activity.

Thanks for the replies. I bumped the topic since she's been on again today (though not posting) and it's been well over 24 hours.

I just don't get saying you'll take something and falling off the face of the earth. I wish people would let your know if they change their minds instead of just ignoring you and wasting your time. Hopefully she's just busy and forgot and it'll come through but I'm definitely not holding my breath.
