Intensifying BH contractions anyone?

I'm having way more BH and about once a day I get one that feels crampy. I don't remember how I felt around this point with DD. I was just wondering what kind of contractions everyone else is having.

It's normal especially with subsequent kids. Some reasons for having them could be stress, dehydration, on the feet too long, changing positions, bladder infection, or your body is just slowly trying to ready itself for labor.

It depends on the day, but they are definitely more intense and in larger clusters than my last pregnancy.

they are constant. i'd say i have atleast one every 2 hours. sometimes they become halfway regular (every 6 to 15 minutes)... i'm having roughly 20 or more a day, and about half of them are "stop me in my tracks" intense.

I'm glad I'm not alone. I had a bunch of BH the first time, but nothing crampy until early labor. I'm not super worried about them at this point, but I will definitely mention them to my doctor. As much as I'm ready to be done 33 weeks isn't enough baking time!

I have heard that with each subsequent, moms can feel BH more. This being #4, I've been feeling BH since very early on.

But yes, I've been feeling them more and more. They tend to be more intense at night on certain days. I attribute that to being dehydrated. But stress can be a factor as well.

Our bodies are gettin' ready, girls!!

Re: Intensifying BH contractions anyone?

DDCC

I didn't have many at all with DS1. With DS2 I had them all the time. Vacuuming, walking, picking up DS1, pretty much anything remotely physical would bring them on. Towards the end of the pregnancy they felt almost constant. He was born full term and there was a definite difference once labor contractions started. For the birth he basically flew out, so I think all those BH really helped prepare!

I'm due in July with #3 and already having them what seems like pretty frequently. Its mostly when I need to drink more water, or doing something physical.

Yep, here too...seems like almost every day around 4-5pm they start getting strong and frequent. I've been attributing it too me doing too much in the afternoons, but it's kinda hard to just sit around when you got 2 kiddos to keep up with.
