Re: Vasectomy reversal anyone?

My dh had a reversal done in 2010, 4 years after his v. We drove from NC to Oklahoma to have it done because Dr. David Wilson does them for 1700. Not sure if that would be something you could look into. Even with travel and hotel we only spent a little ovr 2000 and the cheapes near us was 6800 or so. I got pregnant within the first month and have since had another baby now 7 mos.

Be glad to andwer any questions you might have... Blessings to you!

Sarah- how long did you need to stay after the procedure? Did you have to schedule and online appointment? I was just looking through his things on the web. It def would be worth for us to just drive there and have it done. Thanks so much for the info!!

We had a reversal done at the end of June 2011 after almost 8 years from v. Our total cost was $5,000. We've had several early mc's/cp's so still trying for a sticky bean. Fishing for 5 on here also had a post reversal baby. I have a thread on the ttc forum with a handful of us on there. We drove home (2ish) hours right after

We had to schedule a phone appt. first I think and than a surgery date 3 mos. out. He is a FAST talker when talking about the procedure just because he' done it so much. He's got more personality in person.

As far as our stay...poor dh We had originally planned to stay one night after his surgery but I decided that I didn't want to drive 14 hours b y myself the next day so I threw the man in the back of our van with a movie and some painkillers and drove 9 hours. He actually was able to help me drive a few hours the following day. His recovery was easier than when he had his v. Not sure that I would advise that but it all worked out.

Thank you Sarah. We want to make sure we have the cash and then will schedule, because if I see it right we need to do a down payment of 500.00 first. So that's really not a biggie So hope soon we can schedule and get it done in the next couple of months!! Yay I am so excited!!

Re: Vasectomy reversal anyone?

Mollie - Yay for you and your dh making the decision to do a VR!! Sarah gave you great wisdom and I am excited for you guys to be back on the TTC wagon. My dh and I also had a VR in July of 2010. His V was 8 yrs old at the time. In November we got our sticky BFP and gave birth to our dd. She is our 5th dc and we are praying she will get a sibling soon to get to play with. Good luck and maybe we will see you in the TTC forum soon! Oh and we used Dr. Roeder in Texas. He is a bit more than Dr. Wilson around 3000 and they both do it as a ministry which is so amazing!! Dr. Wilson won't do them after a 10 yr gap and we were close so we chose to go with Dr. R. But I have heard wonderful stories about Dr. W and lots of success stories too.
