$200 here. I did mine myself and I'd do it again before I paid someone too. It really wasn't that much work. Its just time consuming filling the capsules. I almost just did a few and then thought about storing the "powder" and filling more later. I got 100 capsules from mine I think they really helped those first few weeks when my emotions were crazy!

Re: What did you pay for placenta encapsulation?

Around here it's 200, but DH saw a youtube video and we just need to buy a dehydrater and capsule filler. I had SUCH BAD baby blues with my last kid that DH is totally unboard to do this. Our hospital's policy is if the parent's want to keep the placenta, they have to have it removed from the room before mom is moved to a post partum room, so DH is gonna start it right away!

Re: What did you pay for placenta encapsulation?

I know someone who does it for $150 here. I've thought about doing it myself though.

Wow, the only person I could find in my area was $400! I never did it because of the cost but I'm really regretting that decision now.

I only paid $100, but I think the normal charge is $150 (I got a discount because we really couldn't pay more than that due to paying several thousand for the midwife). I'm very glad I did it.

Totally wanna do this. But will prolly have to find someone to pay to do it, because... I don't think DH will be cool with putting my placenta in his jerky dehydrator at all.
