Meijer, target, wal mart formula?

With DS we used wal marts brand (parents choice) formula - the generic enfamil gentlease. We switched to shopping at meijer for groceries, and we use target brand diapers so we are there once a month or so as well.

If this baby ends up on formula, I'm wondering if others have been happy with meijer or target formula or if we should just stick to what worked before for us. Wal mart is right across the street from the meijer so it's not a drive, but still a separate trip with two kids....

And also, on a related note: if you used gentlease with one baby, did you use it for the next or did you just try regular formula first?

We switched between Target and Costco for DD2 when she went to formula about 9 months old. DD2 didn't care and did fine on both.

Re: Meijer, target, wal mart formula?

We used the Parent's Choice Organic to supplement until 6 months, and then when we moved out of state he qualified for WIC and was put on Enfamil. When we had him on the Parent's Choice, I would order it online and it was shipped for free. It would arrive in 2-3 days.

Re: Meijer, target, wal mart formula?

We used gentle ease in the beginning, then good start gentle, then similac (because that's what what covered on WIC) and now we use generic enfa-grow. . . in the beginning she seemed more sensitive, but since she was about 6 months old, she hasn't been nearly as sensitive to "regular" formulas.

Re: Meijer, target, wal mart formula?

With our toddler when he went on formula we were getting enfamil, then we switched to the walmart brand. We had to get the target brand the one time because walmart was out of theirs (due to the store moving they were out of a lot of stuff). He did not have a problem with the target brand or any of the others.

Re: Meijer, target, wal mart formula?

We got lucky with DD1, we could pretty much use whatever formula brand was cheapest/on sale when we needed it. We usually ended up with Meijer or Costco because Meijer has a tendency to run pretty decent sales on their brand of formula more so than Target. DD2 on the other hand, seems to have a more sensitive stomach so we'll see how finding a formula that works for her goes.

Target, walmart, and meijer and most other store brand formulas are made by pbm nutritionals. Assuming you are getting the same type (one that says "compare to gentlease" for example) the formulas are exactly the same.
