Re: What's the meal that everyone likes?

Hard to choose. Chicken and rice soup or most soups, Thai red curry with shrimp, spaghetti, any kind of meat roasted with potato and veg oh and my daughters constant request chicken and fries (and I add veg)

I'd say one that has dh and dd with one meal and me and ds with another.

We all like baked ham, potatoes and green beans.

Ohhh, I haven't used the cooking creams in a while. I LOVE that one!

I try to make a new recipe or two every week but have been slacking lately. Probably the favorites at our house are spaghetti casserole or white bean and chicken enchiladas.

Ours is white chicken lasagna. DD age 3 and DS age 14 months both eat a ton of it, and DH and I love it too. It's full of spinach too, so I can overlook all the cheese and call it more or less healthy
Could you please post or pm me the recipe, please?

Hmmm, I'm not sure I followed one! I cook the lasagna noodles. Cut up 2-3 cooked chicken breasts and mixed with a thawed box of frozen spinach, a container of ricotta cheese, some sautéed onions and garlic, and a can of cream of chicken soup with whatever amount of milk is recommended to reconstitute it. Plus salt and pepper to taste. Put a layer of that mix, then some reduced fat mozzarella cheese, then noodles, then repeat til it's all used up. Topped with more cheese. Bake at 350 until it looked done, lol.

I'm bad about looking at recipes online or in books to get ideas, then I just wing it on my own with amounts and ingredients. Hope that's helpful

Re: What's the meal that everyone likes?

For our family this recipe is huge. It is nothing for me to make a double recipe, becauseeveryome will take leftovers for lunch until it is gone, We usually have it with no knead bread. My 7 year old named it piggy pot
32oz of vegetable broth
1 bag dried lentils
7 strips of bacon
1lb of dice ham
16oz smoked sausage
2 bell peppers
1 large onion
12oz carrots
3 stalk celery
2 garlic gloves
3tbsps chili powder
28 tomato puree
Crisp 4 strips of bacon and crumble, set aside, save the grease. Saute the veggies in the bacon fat(yum pork fat)until they are soft. Bring the vegetable broth with 3 strips of bacon to boil and add the lentils simmer about 15 minutes and slice the smoked sausage into bite sized pieces. When the lentils are almost cooked remove the 3 strips of bacon and toss(or feed to the dogs),add all the other ingredients, heat through and serve.
OK so it isn't the healthiest, but it is amazing on a cold day and the family loves it
