Any Creams Safe for CDing?

Hi mamas!!

I am fairly new to cding (it's taken me a year to "finally!" be full-time), and I have heard different things about using creams with cloth.

If I use coconut oil, do I need a liner between baby and the diaper? I really want to find something to use where I don't need a liner.

I have been using Earth Mama Angel Baby cream and really like it (clears up rash fast!) but I don't want it to ruin my diapers.

Thanks for your help!!!!!!

Both of those are good; no liner required.

Coconut oil is fine. You want to stay away from anything with zinc oxide like desitin. I made my own with 1/2 oz beeswax and 3.5 oz of coconut oil. Melt the beeswax in a double boiler, add the coconut oil and blend till its all melted together. Remove from heat and add about 5 drops of lavender or tea tree oil (or both I used 2 drops lavender and 3 tea tree) and let it cool in a glass jar. It fills an empty baby food jar perfectly. The beeswax in it helps to create a breathable barrier on the skin.

ive found that a "safe" baby powder with every diaper change was the best solution for preventing rashes, for us it worked better than the emab cream. Also I spray some diaper lotion potion, highly diluted and clean her and dry her before the powder. My dd is very sensitive to wetness and urine.

Thanks for the recipe! That sounds like a great option. Where do you get your beeswax?

I got it on ebay actually. Less than $4 for two 1 oz bars and its enough to make this recipe 4 times.

Sorry For The Caps (My Crazy Phone).

Question On The Beeswax: It Sounds Lovely, But Seems Like It Would Coat The Dipes. Does It Wash Out Cleanly?
